Centrilift is the only electrical submersible pumping (ESP) technology provider who designs and manufactures a complete surface and downhole system, including analytical software, remote communications and surface controls, power cable, pumps, motors, seals and sensors.

A solution was required to monitor Centrilift’s electrical submersible pumps (ESP’s) to achieve better pump management and efficiency. The solution had to be able to monitor several pump simultaneously through Centrilift and Phoenix hardware and display trends, overlays and performance curves of each pump, so that each other could be analysed against each other and highlight any under performance issues.

C3 global installed a system and wrote connection modules to communicate directly with the hardware controlling the pumps. Data for all of the pumps were collected and transformed into information, giving Centrilift the opportunity to scrutinize in detail the performance of the all the assets across the board. This data was extracted every few seconds and stored in a database for easy access. The data could then be viewed using a custom display module designed specifically for use by Centrilift.

The units provided all the data required, allowing the engineers to remotely monitor and manage the ESP’s. The information generated allowed the engineers to optimise the operation of the pump and in time they should be able to extend pump lifetimes and schedule maintenance activities through use of the pump performance curves, and further reduce costs and wasted man hours.
