NIW select C3 Global as part of Strategic Business Plan
Northern Ireland Water are planning major investment over the next few years to ensure that they protect public health and the environment for generations to come. In fact, by 2020 NIW are planning to invest £3 billion that will reduce leakage levels, lower the threats of flooding and improve water and wastewater quality.
As part of their Strategic Business Plan, they have invested in a solution in conjunction with C3 global (and Water Utility Partner MWH and Serck Controls) for the PEARL project – a Performance Enterprise Application in Real time, where the aim is to deliver substantially improved performance at lower cost. This will be achieved by monitoring the business processes in the areas of operations and asset management through the provision of core monitoring and control systems, together with real time performance information throughout the organization from a single data source. Getting a better understanding of asset performance will bring together ‘Asset information’, and the new data will provide NIW with a clearer picture for Strategic Investment Planning and will also enable them to make more effective Capital Planning decisions. C3 global will provide NIW with the data Modeling and calculation system and implement the technology for capturing operational data and converting it into easy-to-use decision-support business information.
Northern Ireland Water is a Government Owned Company (GoCo), set up in April 2007 to provide the water and sewerage services in Northern Ireland. That means they supply 625 million litres of clean water a day for almost 1.7 million people as well as treating 134 million m³ of wastewater every year.
